Volunteer Days
East Austin Farm (8310 Canoga Ave., Austin 78724) by appointment only:
Friday, Saturday, Wednesday, 8:30-noon
River Farm (156 Howard Lane, Bastrop 78602) by appointment only
Tuesday and Thursday, 8:30-noon
Please note that we do not have staff or resources to watch young children as you volunteer. Our geese adn ducks prefer you leave your dogs at home. And because we receive no financial support for our volunteer program, donations are appreciated (e.g. funds, tools, or a stay in your vacation home! )

Bring your own work gloves, hat, water bottle, and hand tools like clippers if you have them
We believe everyone should know how to grow food, flowers, and trees so we have kept an open door to volunteers since our farm's founding in 2006.
We're happy to teach you regardless of experience!
Rain or Shine!
Tasks vary and can involve more than field work. If you have carpentry, admin, marketing and other skills to share we would love to have you!
In the fields or greenhouse, we will guide you as you work, but please ask questions so you can learn as much as possible about farming practices, local food systems and how our farm operates.
Everyone leaves with produce or flowers at the end of the their shift, as available.
