FARM STAND OPEN TO ALL
Weekly Saturdays (9-12) Farm Stand inside*
1902 Bergstrom Barn
Since 2005, Green Gate Farms has been cultivating food, flowers and farmers at this historic east Austin farmstead, originally built by the Bergstrom family in 1902. (Yes, the same Swedish family that Austin-Bergstrom International Airport commemorates.) We invite you to come enjoy the farm and see how it is now part of the Village Farm agricultural neighborhood of tiny homes - a rare combination of old and new, farming and housing.
Location: 8254 Canoga Ave, Austin 78724 (Please note that our former address -8310 Canoga- was given to a tiny home resident). Plenty of free parking in front of Big Red Bergstrom Barn. *Until our promised farm stand is rebuilt, you’ll find us inside the barn, one of the last Swedish mule barns on a working farm in Travis County.
No pets on the farm: Please leave your pooch at home as they scare our ducks/geese.
Children welcome. Unfortunately, our Magic Treehouse is closed until repairs are made. Feel free to walk around fields, not in them.
Closed/Holidays: July and August, usually closed due to heat. (Looking forward to when Roberts’ General Store/Bistro is built so we an be open year round!)
