That’s why we purchased 32 acres nestled along the banks of the Colorado River in 2009, then invited other farmers to join us. Today, our neighbors include several food business owners and other organic farmers who share our passion for environmental stewardship.

Our goal is to create something unheard of in Texas — a dedicated agricultural and recreational area where all farmers thrive, especially new and underserved farmers. We are dedicated to:

• training the next generation of farmers,

• helping ensure food security for our neighbors,

• growing with nature so that bird migrations are supported and bald eagles continue to nest here, and

• celebrating the rich history of Utley, our nearest village and one of the Texas Freedom Colonies created by emancipated slaves.
