Just eight miles east of downtown Austin, our urban farm features majestic oak trees, wildflower meadows, acres of certified organic vegetables, flowers and herbs as well as a menagerie of farm animals — perfect for weddings!

A portion of all wedding payment will be donated to our farm-based education nonprofit, the New Farm Institute.
Many venues limit rentals to 4 hours. When you host your wedding at Green Gate Farms, there’s no need to rush. You have access to the farm for 12 hours the day of, 6 hours the day prior, and 6 hours the day after. You can even come out before your wedding for engagement photos—feel free to jump on the tractor or include the antique windmill or big red barn as a backdrop!
For the duration of your wedding, you will have access to the farm kitchens, the farmhouse bride’s dressing room, all venue features, and the full acreage of the farm.

Big Red Barn
When the Bergstrom family (the same family Austin’s International Airport is named for) immigrated from Sweden, they built a beautiful barn in 1902 that features a hayloft that has been used for dinners, film screenings, meetings, yoga classes, and more. Seats 80 guest
Shaded space beside the Big Red Barn featuring flower garden beds, fruit trees, Adirondack chairs, vintage metal swings, hammocks and park benches. Children love to explore the Magic Tree House. Excellent place for a band and film projections. Seats 100 guests.
Rustic open-air covered space with a partial brick floor is a perfect setting for dinner beside garden and fields. Has been used for silent auctions and as a bar area. Seats 50 guests.
Feast Between the Fields
Guests may dine here under the stars or under tents. This long lawn nestled between two lush vegetable fields is where we set up outdoor feasts or dance tents. Seats 200+ guests.

A flexible, open-air space with a small pagoda overlooking the organic vegetable fields and historic windmill. Can feature formal or informal seating styles, according to your preferences. Seats 150 guests.
