FARM REDESIGN UNDERWAY New: Monthly Farmer Forum, Tool Share Program

Austin, Tx September 6, 2013 – New Farm Institute, Green Gate Farms’ educational nonprofit organization, is pleased to announce its Fall schedule of events and opportunities.

“This season promises to be our most exciting yet as we redesign our farm to host more students, campers and events,” says Executive Director Erin Flynn.  “Our goal is to establish independent, ongoing learning stations where schools and families can explore and participate in how a sustainable, organic farm works.”

Future farm stations will facilitate service learning projects as well as investigate farm biology and ecosystems. Upcoming changes include creating a Welcome Center and improving infrastructure. A fundraising campaign will be announced soon.

Volunteers are welcome to participate in all aspects of the redesign process, from conception to installation.
