Jerry Cunningham known to his friends as Jeremiah age 76 passed peacefully on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 6 at home on his beloved farm in Elgin, Texas. At the time of death Jerry had a house full of children, grandchildren, extended family and loving friends around him. Jerry was the founder and owner of Coyote Creek Organic Feed Mill, the first commercial organic feed mill in Texas as well as World’s Best Eggs, the first large commercial pastured egg business in Texas. His passion for Texas family farming, humane treatment of farm animals and the sustainable food movement were equal only to the love he had for family and friends. Visitation will be on August 8 from 11am to 3pm at his home on Coyote Creek Farm, 13431 Klaus Ln., Elgin Texas, 78621. Funeral Services will be held at the Farm on August 9 at 10 a.m. with a Celebration of Life immediately following. Jerry is survived by the mother of his children, Karen Cunningham, his children Rob Cunningham and Kei Laliberte, his daughter-in-law Amy Cunningham and son-in-law Wayne Laliberte, and his 10 grandchildren Finn and Barton Cunningham; Allison Loudon; Lindsay Chambers; and Zach, Trent, Tyler, Luke, Caroline and Maddie Laliberte. Jerry also leaves behind his beloved dogs Blue and Chaco. Pallbearers will be John Mackey, George Eckrich, Tom Robinson, Joaquin Hancock, Salud Gomez and Juan Rivera. The family extends special thanks and appreciation to all that have shown such tremendous love and support for Jerry over the years.
