Clear your late afternoon/evening schedules for the 1st of October and come on out to Green Gate Farms for a benefit supporting wildfire relief efforts and infrastructure development (barn construction, fencing, irrigation and the like) in the Austin area. Split Rail Ales and Wanderlust Ice Cream and Sorbet are at it again, and are working with some supremely talented folks to bring you an experience that will satiate all appetites and fill the noggin with all that is local, sustainable farming. Generally speaking we will be featuring:
- A keg of chocolate brown ale and a keg of cantelope/apple/molasses/brown sugar cider w/ soft cinnamon from Split Rail Ales; cocktails (Paula’s limoncello, dripping springs vodka, and sparkling water)
- Surprise new releases from Wanderlust Ice Cream and Sorbet
- A community potluck with a number local sponsors preparing culinary fineries
- A town hall style discussion with guest speakers. Featured speaker: Pati Jacobs of Bastrop Cattle Co.!
- Live Music
There will be a suggested donation of $25 and potluck contributions are welcome and encouraged. Doing good couldn’t feel any better!
Stay tuned for more details about local food and beer sponsors, bands and guest speakers, and general contributions!
