Our fields are full of scapes: the dandelion-white heads of onions, the loping pods of garlic and the infinitely interesting shallot sculptures. As the alliums bloom, I can’t resist sharing them, especially when the “filler” is also edible: cilantro. IMG_3429IMG_3436 Remember that you’re encouraged to eat your centerpiece.
