Farmer Erin is half a century young! Erin turns 50 this month – hard to believe, but it’s true. Some of you may remember celebrating her 50th at the Hootenanny. We’ll, that was a dress rehearsal, allowing her to try on the 50s garb and then take it off, so to speak.

For her birthday – December 16 – Erin has two wishes:

One was that I build her a tree house overlooking the river. That gift is almost complete, and if you are nice to her, she may let you climb into her perch and listen to the sweet babble of the rapids below.

Her second wish is that friends come to shop for presents on the 16th at 10,000 Villages, from 5 – 9 pm. This great local shop on South Congress has generously agreed to give a percentage of their sales that day to our New Farm Institute, a non-profit that is funding farm camp scholarships and infrastructure for the incubator farm project.

Erin and Skip plan to meet there in the evening, and hope some of you can join for a drink at 9pm.
