Meat CSA

Getting tired of eating the same old thing?  Our meat CSA will wake up your taste buds.

You’ve asked for years, and it’s finally here: our first six month Meat CSA Memberships.  Each share is delicious mix of organic chicken (from Slow Food Farm), pastured beef (from Bastrop Cattle Co), rare-breed pork (Green Gate Guinea Hog), as well as our Nubian goat and Barbadoe lamb/mutton. This is the highest quality and tastiest meat available in Central Texas. You can be confident that these animals are well-cared for, raised locally and butchered using humane methods.

This special meat CSA membership will offer monthly pick up at Green Gate Farms (on milk weeks during regular Farm Stand hours – Tuesdays 4-6, Fridays 12-6, and Saturdays 10-2 – a schedule will be provided).

All animals are rare or heritage breeds that live happy lives outdoors. And all of the livestock – except for the organic chicken and pastured beef — are raised on our farms. No hormones or antibiotics are ever administered.  You can even come meet your meat, if you’d like (our hogs love belly rubs.)
